Fourth town of France, crossed by the Garonne
and the channel of the South,
Toulouse is the prefecture of
Haute-Garonne
and the Midday-Pyrenees area which gathers the departments of Ariège,
Aveyron,
Haute-Garonne, Gers, the Batch, the Hautes-Pyrénées, the Tarn and the
Tarn-and-Garonne. It is called the pink city because of the color of principal local building material traditional: the terra cotta
brick.Its inhabitants are called the Toulouse
